1. Emotional

 I picked this photo because attracts me emotionally because it shows the loyalty of the dog even after its owner has passed on. I believe that this photo has made the top 40 because it has emotional connection for anyone who owns an animal and it kind of represents the whole, "Dog is a mans best friend."

2. Interesting Composition

 I chose this photo because it has an interesting story to tell the viewer visually. Jane Kasmir is shown planting a flower on the bayonets of soldiers during a protest against the Vietnam War.  This photo is later used to inspire the flower power movement. This photo is basically the start of a whole revolution to follow in the years to come after this.

3. Pretty Imagery

 I picked this photo because its very clear and has good pretty good focus and clarity. I believe this photo made the top 40 because its just a very nicely composed picture.

4. Surprising Content

 I chose this photo because you wouldn't expect a couple to be kissing in the street when there is obviously rioters in the back. I think this picture made the top 40 because it shows love during war.
